Introduction to Rider Biomechanics

Friday afternoon - 22nd September, 12pm

This presentation will explain how your posture affects your partnership with your horse and, ultimately, your performance. Whether you are competing at the highest level or simply enjoy riding your horses for pleasure, the principles of Rider Biomechanics make complicated ideas simple and answer age-old questions. Most riders will remember being told that they should sit straight, with their thumbs on top and their heels down - but many riders don't know why these are important.

Horse Owner's Introduction to Equine Kinesioloqy Taping

Friday evening - 22nd September, 6pm

$70/person 

Learn the basics of equine kinesiology taping and six techniques you can apply to help your horse.

Includes an Intro Equi-Taping TMKit that contains everything you wil need to start taping. Also included is FREE access to the online Equi-TapingTM Basics Course - a $59.95 value.

Equine Health & Emergency First Aid

Saturday, 23rd September - 9am - 5pm

$159/person 

Join us for a one-day class covering: what your vet needs to know, conditioning a horse to accept treatment, taking vital signs, dealing with various wounds, colic, choke, collapse, shock, hoof issues, recognizing pain in the horse, spinal health, injury prevention techniques and so much more! Eight hands-on scenarios allow you to put knowledge and skills into practice.

All attendees receive a certificate of completion, first aid manual and a "vitals" reference card. NDEA members receive a free barn equine vital signs poster - a $20 value.

Advanced Equine First-Aid - Wilderness & Remote

Saturday, 23rd September - 9am - 5pm

$159/person

Join us for a second class, Advanced Equine Emergency First Aid - Wilderness & Remote, and learn what to do in more extreme situations. Covers a wide range of injuries, including: severe gut wounds, burns, bites &stings, fractures, sucking chest wounds, and the trapped horse. This course prepares the student to handle serious injuries while in wilderness and remote locations.

All attendees receive a certificate of completion and a manual.

(Equine Health & Emergency First Aid is a pre-requisite for attending the Advanced class).
